April Lockhart

April Lockhart born 4 July 1995. She started piano and guitar lessons in 7th grade which sparked her interest. At the age of 12 April came up with her first original song Different. In her 14th year April spent a lot of her time to creating and playing with songs. She began writing alongside her father in NY and LA soon after. April also began to include other related topics for some of her classmates who struggle with such things as social pressure and teens who commit suicide through the songs"Take my Hand. Lockhart has her own following and also works as an online lifestyle blogger for the well-known Ilia Clean Beauty brand. Lockhart was born with no left hand. It's part of who she is--but that's not the entire story. Lockhart's Instagram page doesn't overlook the fact that she has a disability. However, it doesn't emphasize it. What message is it sending? The message? We have many different aspects, that our identities and physical selves are not all that they appear. I don't want that to define me I don't intend to become an influencer where it's the only thing I talk about because there are so many other elements to me. Lockhart says via video from her house in Nashville. My day-today life is not directly affected by disability. I live my normal daily life, and come up with my own solutions to issues. This is also part of my life, and I think it should be discussed. The journey of self-acceptance that Lockhart has taken will be one that lasts an entire lifetime. She has been a source of inspiration with regard to this. Still, she admits that she went through phases in her life with her physique, feeling uncomfortable in certain situations wearing clothes that showed her arms. She wears whatever she wants and posts photos of herself wearing the clothes she chooses on social platforms. For her, self-love is always a lengthy trip. But I think that's common to everyone regardless of what the source of their anxiety. I believe that it's really vital to surround yourself people who can identify and feel your heart.
