Emily VanCamp

Emily Irene VanCamp (Canadian actress) is best known for her lead roles in many television series but also her impressive performances on film. Her work is well-known on both Canadian and American television. When Emily was twelve, she started to get fascinated by acting after she visited her elder sister Katie while filming one of her film. When she realized that acting was her love, she began to take acting lessons as well as attend auditions. Her first audition was for a couple of ads, and was soon cast in Are You afraid of the Dark A Canadian horror show for kids. The only scene that she was in was one with no sound. In the year she turned 15years old, Emily had her first big break when she was made regular on the WB Television show Glory Days. Although the show was canceled after nine episodes Emily's performance attracted the attention of Dawson's Creek writer Greg Berlanti who decided to cast her in his TV show Everwood. Emily has also been a dancer, a photographer and was named among the top 20 Teen's actors. In Maxim's Hot 100 2014 list ranked her as number 51.
